This weekend was the first official start to the Christine Barn Find build and a hell of a lot of progress was covered.
After the much needed prep weekend last week and planing the works that needed to be done, I started by first removing the drivers side door and the trunk from the body and cutting out interior side of the same door on the interior panel, then removed the fuel cover, cleaned up the main body and got to work on adding the dents and rusted parts to the body and hood, making the dent on the roof proved to be a bit of a disaster when the rear window frame melted and needed to be rebuilt, the first real fuck up so far but worked out great in the end, then I added the internal sides of the door panel the inside the trunk lid and then removed some of the body trim and adding some trim holes to the same areas and the last thing was rebuilding the little window frame on the removed door and glued some parts as well as the hood together.
I did work a little bit on the rear window to try some weathering ideas that I had but was not happy with the results as yet, but it will get there, still early days.
Stay tuned for more updates on this build next week.
